winter sun on loch long

Had a few hours to spare and could not resist such a beautiful afternoon. 



 Looking south down Loch Long to Greenock.

 north up Loch Long.

 The winter afternoon sun is beautiful on the calm water.

 You never get fed up with sunsets. They always make me smile.

 At Strone point there is a cross in the water just off the shore.

Can anyone tell me anything about it.
